So, your yellow light is on, the keypad is beeping, you've pressed *2
and the keypad is displaying a 6, or it reads out Zone Tamper.
This means that something is not right on one of the zones. On a wireless zone it usually means that you have replaced the battery and did not get the contact or sensor reassembled correctly. Inspect the sensor to be sure that it is seated correctly and that the housing is properly latched onto the mouting plate. If it is a wired contact then you may want to schedule a service call since this will usually involve a trip into the attic or crawl space. Zone tampers on wired contacts are most often the result of a mouse feasting on the wiring.
